New section for magnets

Previously, the 4.1x2.6 inch magnet size (considered a 'medium' size) was lumped in with other miscellaneous sizes. However, it's grown popular enough that it will now have it's own page:

If you are someone who wants to mail magnets out alone, no card, no information packet, no letter, this size is the one you want to go with over the small magnet size. In addition, more can be done with the design, and, smaller quantities can be ordered.

Dragonfly, summer/spring theme

Another invitation set! Even though I only post the invitations that I think have a "point of interest" (interesting feature, idea, layout, new design, or something else that is new and otherwise not depicted already on the website), it's just the time of the year for invitations.

This set of invitations was also a customer's idea for a variation on one of the website's designs.

The save the date magnets they ordered were a variation of this design from the website:

Because there are not any matching invitation designs on the website, their idea was to take a 4x8 inch invitation design from the website and modify to include dragonflies instead of bees.

Another matching invitation set

This post is about another matching save the date & invitation idea. My customer was looking for invitations that matched the save the dates she had ordered earlier; Her save the dates cards were based on one of the popular 4.25x5.5 inch designs from the website. The design is a simple one, with a small swirly graphic being the main feature.

Design on the website:

Her invitation set is printed on a basic white card stock, black ink. The set is a 5x7 inch main invitation card, a 5x3.5 inch card rsvp card, and a 5.5x4.25 inch directions card.

Folded save the date cards

In an earlier post, I mentioned that most orders for cards these days are for flat single cards; No folding. But I also mentioned that folded cards are still around and looking good. I submit as evidence these two folded save the date card ideas. These are white cards, approximately 4.25x5.5 / 5.5x4.25 inches when folded, full color printing on the front.

Example one: a photographic Tiffany box design.

Example two: meant to emulate the cover of a book, more information is printed inside, with the catchy "Book the Date" replacing the traditional "Save the Date".

Save the Date: cartoon couple design

One of the popular designs for the small size 2x3.5 inch magnets is a cute cartoon couple with a heart. The version currently on the website:

The "AB" is a digital watermark.

Text/wording changes aside, there are more changes that can be made. Myself being the person who drew the cartoon couple, customers can request that I create new versions for them. Something like changing the color of the dress, hair, or heart, does not cost extra. Something that involves re-drawing (new hair style, new clothing styles) do cost more. Check out these alternate versions:

This cute couple is mainly used for save the date magnets or wedding favor magnets, as you would expect.

Calla lily invitations; Post the second

Calla lilies are just a classic. Below is an example of a 5.5x8.5 inch wedding invitation design with a coordinating rsvp card that I recently worked on. This design, like the earlier, uses an actual photograph of calla lilies.

Here is a link to the first post about calla lilly invitations, also 5.5x8.5 inches.

Combination: Me and DIY

I offer a variety of design and printing services on custom projects. But when customers have an idea in mind that involves tying bows or attaching ribbon, I will generally handle the design, printing, cutting, and such, but leave the tying of bows portion of assembly to the customers.

The invitations featured in this post are interesting for two reasons: They are folded, and, part of a DIY project. The majority of orders for invitations and save the date cards I receive these days are for sets of flat cards. But folded invitations are still around and looking good.

These invitations are 5x7 inches, printed front and inside, on cream linen card stock. The bride and her mother added a ribbon to each invitation, which turned out looking very well; Thanks to them, I have a photo to show you:

Matching Invitations

While save the date designs are often quite different in regards to design from the wedding invitations that will later be sent, sometimes couples like to carry the same theme.

Below is a photo of an invitation set that matches one of the 5.5x4.25 inch save the date designs from the website.

Of course, the colors were altered for her save the dates, and these invitations; This is an easy customization option. These invitations are 5.5x8.5 inches, with a 5.5x4.25 inch rsvp card and additional info card.
